A new standard for midlife care
Care built for midlife, not adapted to fit it.
For more than twenty years, I have sat across from women who knew something was wrong and had been talked out of trusting themselves. They were told their labs were normal, that this is just aging, that they should try yoga or an antidepressant and come back next year. They had a five-minute visit, were handed a pamphlet or a prescription, and sent home.
I have watched this happen so many times, and it still makes me furious. That fury is why this practice exists.
Menopause care is not a five-minute visit. It is hormones and metabolism and sleep and mood and sex and strength and everything else your body has decided to throw into the mix, and it takes a physician with enough time to look at all of it at once. That is what I built here.

Hi, I'm Dr. Heather Bartos.
I am an OB/GYN and menopause specialist, and Oprah Winfrey and Maria Shriver named me one of the nation's top five experts in midlife women's health. I mention that not to list a credential, but because it should tell you something about what happens in my exam room.
I started Menopause Rocks because I believe midlife is not a slow decline to manage. It is, for a lot of women, the most interesting and rich chapter of their lives, if they have a physician who actually gives a damn and has enough time to do the job right. My job is to connect the dots: hormones, metabolism, sleep, sexual health, mental health, primary care, and whatever else is going on with you.
I am direct, I am warm, and I am not fluffy. I will tell you the truth about what is happening in your body, I will explain the science, and I will build you a plan that fits your actual life. My patients tell me I am part doctor, part translator, part strategist, and part hype woman.
What I want for you is not perfect, and not twenty-five, again. Instead, you should feel powerful, clear, steady, and strong in your body and in your life.
I'd love to tell you more about how this works, and hear what you're looking for.
Heather Bartos, MD

Membership gives you direct access to me across menopause and perimenopause care, hormone therapy, sexual health, metabolic health, weight management, gynecology, and primary care, all connected into a single picture of your health rather than scattered across specialists and waiting rooms.
Instead of paying separately every time you need a visit, a refill, a hormone question, a weight conversation, or one of those “hey Dr. Heather, is this normal” moments, you pay one annual fee that covers your ongoing care with me.
